Boundary Review Public Meeting - Thursday Jan. 10 at 7 pm. - White Oaks SS

The Halton District School Board is undertaking an elementary school boundary review for the new Oakville NE #2 ps. A Public Meeting will be held on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019 at 7 p.m. at White Oaks SS (South Campus) to present school boundary options. Parents/guardians are encouraged to remain informed by reviewing information posted on the HDSB website ( by searching: North East Oakville #2 ps Boundary Review.

Lion King Performance

This year the school is hosting the Lion King in March. We are excited to host such a big presentation for our grade 4 - 8 students. We are also renting a large stage for the performance. This stage will be used for our primary concert as well. This will help us accommodate the 27 primary classes from K - 3. This concert will be held on Thursday, Feb 28th.

THANK YOU to the School Council for donating $10,000 towards technology. We were able to buy 20 Tablets and cases, a desktop computer for Special Ed and Tech tubs to charge and store school technology.

THANK YOU to all who participated in Community Night. We want to thank our Sponsors who donated their time to make the evening a success. 

HO HO HO-liday Toy Drive !

With the holidays in full swing, the Oodenawi Community Outreach group is giving you a chance to give back to our community with the HO HO HO-liday Toy Drive! Starting Monday, December 10th, students and parents can drop off their new, unwrapped toys to the library.

Early Dismissal on December 21st, 2018

On Friday, December 21st, our school will dismiss 90 minutes early and the following changes in our timetable will be:

School will begin at: 9:15 am 
Nutrition break #1 will be at: 10:25 am
Nutrition break #2 will be at: 12:15 pm
Dismissal time will be at: 2:05 pm

 Halton Student Transportation Service (HSTS) has a bus stop calculator on their webpage for parents/guardians to use to calculate their child's bus stop times.

New Item available for Tuesday lunches !

We are now offering SAMOSAS and FROZEN YOGURT TUBES for sale beginning January 8th.  Purchases will be available through cash online ! Funds for these sales will go to purchasing technology, the Arts program, special education and classroom resources.

Boundary Review Information

Dear Parent/Guardian, Re: Upcoming boundary review impacting Oakville elementary schools

At the September 19, 2018 Board Meeting, Trustees of the Halton District School Board passed the motion below to start the process for a new boundary for the new North East Oakville # 2 Public School. 

Be it resolved that the Halton District School Board direct staff to undertake an elementary school boundary review for the new Oakville NE #2 ps, with an expected completion date of no later than February 2019. 

A Boundary Review Committee will be established and will include parent representation from all potentially impacted schools, Trustees Kelly Amos and Amy Collard, Planning Department staff, and Superintendents of Education John Pennyfather and Colette Ruddock. 

The boundary review process is expected to be completed by the end of February 2019. The Boundary Review Committee will study various school boundary options. These options will be presented at a public information meeting on January 10, 2019 (location to be determined) and posted on the Halton District School Board website at A reminder about the public information meeting will be sent closer to the date.

All volunteers must have a Criminal Background Check which includes vulnerable sector screening. For further information refer to the Halton Regional Police Service website.  If there is a Criminal Background Check with vulnerable sector screening on file at our school, the volunteer is required to complete the Halton District School Board's Annual Offence Declaration for subsequent years.  If in doubt or if you have any questions, please contact our office at (905) 257-6594.
