Boundary Review Information

posted Oct 17, 2018, 6:32 AM by Wendy Carlan

Dear Parent/Guardian, Re: Upcoming boundary review impacting Oakville elementary schools

At the September 19, 2018 Board Meeting, Trustees of the Halton District School Board passed the motion below to start the process for a new boundary for the new North East Oakville # 2 Public School.

Be it resolved that the Halton District School Board direct staff to undertake an elementary school boundary review for the new Oakville NE #2 ps, with an expected completion date of no later than February 2019.

A Boundary Review Committee will be established and will include parent representation from all potentially impacted schools, Trustees Kelly Amos and Amy Collard, Planning Department staff, and Superintendents of Education John Pennyfather and Colette Ruddock.

The boundary review process is expected to be completed by the end of February 2019. The Boundary Review Committee will study various school boundary options. These options will be presented at a public information meeting on January 10, 2019 (location to be determined) and posted on the Halton District School Board website at A reminder about the public information meeting will be sent closer to the date.

We encourage parents/guardians to remain informed by reviewing information posted on the HDSB website by searching: North East Oakville #2 p.s. Boundary Review.

Walk or Wheel to School Wednesdays

posted Oct 3, 2018, 7:36 AM by Wendy Carlan   [ updated Oct 3, 2018, 9:15 AM ]

October is International Walk to School month.  Join us each Wednesday to Wheel or Walk to Oodenawi!

Why should you participate?  Because walking or wheeling to school is fun!  It’s good for the environment, and for you too. It eases the congestion on our busy roads.  It is great for getting to know the neighbourhood and creating community connections.

On Wednesday mornings, look for the  teachers handing out WoW cards at the entrances to the school black top.  The cards will be collected in the classroom, and participation will be tracked.
